Kids Poems

The sky

I am big, dark, and stormy.
Most people don't like me.
I can make strong sounds and get people inside.
I can stretch a long way, and make a lot of friends.
I am big and mighty.
The sun comes after me.
I am a thunderstorm.
These are the words that describe me.

kids in Kitchen

The taps go flip, plop --
The saucepan goes stir, slop --
The knives and forks go rattle, clatter --
The baby goes pitter, patter --
The phone goes ring, ting --
The microwave goes beep, ping --

Cow

The friendly cow, all red and white.
I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,
To eat with apple tart.

She wanders lowing here and there,
and yet she cannot stray,
all in the pleasant open air,
The pleasant light of day;

And blown by all the winds that pass
And wet with all the meadow grass
And eats the meadow flowers.

~~Robert Louis Stevenson
